Liverpool v Chelsea Preview

Liverpool v Chelsea Preview

Chelsea’s form looks much stronger but they’ve had an easier run of fixtures and Liverpool have only lost once at home in the league.

A month ago, you’d have expected Liverpool to be close to even money, perhaps even odds-on to win at home to Chelsea but it shows the impact of form on the odds.

Liverpool have hit a sticky spell but that has come more in the cups because their form in the league is WWDDL and that includes games against both Manchester clubs.

Chelsea have swept all before them but that is influenced by a benign fixture list. The one fixture against a top-8 team, Tottenham, they lost.

There still isn’t much between the sides (other than recent results) and Liverpool have only lost one game at Anfield in the league.  We can mitigate the downside by playing the ‘draw no bet’ market where Liverpool are 4/5 (Betfair Sportsbook) to win.
