No Place Like Stoke

Stoke’s home record is better than Liverpool’s away record yet a home win is still the outsider of three.

Betting markets (or punters more likely) can be pretty stubborn. That is the only explanation as to why Stoke are 5/2 to win at home to Liverpool.

It has been a recurring theme in the last month as Stoke have beaten Southampton and Tottenham at the Britannia despite being the outsiders.

If you look at the seasonal record there is no logical reason as to why Liverpool are favourites.

Stoke’s home record is W9-D3-L6 (30pts) whilst from the same number of games Liverpool’s away record is W8-D3-L7 (27pts).

There is precious little between the teams so why back Liverpool at 6/5 (Betfred) when Stoke are 5/2 (Bet365)?
