Eagles Aim To End City Title Hopes

If the Premier League season had begun at the turn of the year Palace would be 6th with City down in 8th.

Despite having a pretty awful record against Manchester City over the past few years, Crystal Palace just can’t be 5/1 shots when form since the turn of the year is assessed.

Since January 1, 2015:

Palace: P11 W6 D2 L3 Pts 20
Man City: P11 W5 D3 L3 Pts 18

These statistics coincide with Alan Pardew’s arrival at Selhurst Park and show that the Eagles would sit 6th if the Premier League season had begun on New Year’s Day. City would be 8th.

Pellegrini’s men have now lost their last three on the road in all competitions and have slipped down to 4th in the table after the weekend action so far. Part of the problem is that Sergio Aguero has now gone 466 minutes without finding the net.

In contrast, Glenn Murray has scored four in four for Palace who are an obvious value bet with home advantage thrown in.
