Burney Fly Out The Gates

Burnley v Swansea Tips: Burney Fly Out The Gates

Recent Premier League experience will stand them in good stead whilst Swansea are on the decline.

The start of new season can sometimes be daunting from a betting perspective. New teams, players and managers shuffle the deck but with increased risk comes reward.

Of last year’s three promoted teams, only Norwich were relegated and it seems the bookmakers have underestimated those coming up from the Championship.

The combined efforts of Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich were P114, W32, D25, L57 granted they played each other during that period but in general terms if you backed them at 5/2 every week you would have broken about evens.

That leads me neatly to Burnley. They have the same manager and largely the same playing squad that were in the Premier League two seasons back and won the Championship last season – therefore they should be well equipped for their return to the top flight.

First up they face Swansea at Turf Moor, possibly one of the easiest fixtures they could have been dealt. The Swans have lost Andre Ayew and captain Ashley Williams, key men and a big blow for a team that struggled for most of last season.

With home advantage, against one of the weaker sides in the division Burnley warrant being much shorter than their current price. Therefore, we should snap up the 6/4 with Paddy Power
