Premier League Preview

Gervinho has scored twice in English football

The big game of the weekend is Chelsea - Arsenal. The Gunners may have won seven of their last eight, but they they haven't won in eight league games away from home.

Everton v Man Utd:

The Toffees are 4/1 (Totesport) to inflict back-to-back defeats on the champions for the first time in 31 matches. Wayne Rooney hasn’t scored in four league matches but is 9/2 (Betfred) to open the scoring against his former club.

Chelsea v Arsenal:

The Gunners have lost this fixture 2-0 on their previous two trips to Stamford Bridge; the same again is 15/2 (PaddyPower). Arsenal talisman Robin Van Persie has notched six in his last four league games; he’s 12/5 (StanJames) in the anytime goalscorer market.

Man City v Wolves:

The new league leaders are in irresistible form. Mancini’s side have won four times by four goals or more - that’s a 10/3 shot with Ladbrokes. Wolves lost 5-2 to this team in midweek Carling Cup action; a famous away win is a remarkable 20/1 shot (VictorChandler).

Norwich v Blackburn:

Grant Holt came off the bench to earn a fine point for Norwich at Anfield last week; he is 11/2 (Skybet) to be last goalscorer again this time. Rovers have kept just one clean sheet in their last 23 away league games; another one here is 7/2 with Bet365.

Sunderland v Aston Villa:

Steve Bruce’s team are 5/4 (Coral) to record their first back-to-back wins since January. Darren Bent makes his first return to the Stadium of Light since his £24m move to Villa; he is 2/1 (StanJames) to mark his comeback with a goal.

Swansea City v Bolton:

Record Swans signing Danny Graham is 13/8 (Boylesports) to score for a fourth consecutive match. Bolton have won the only two games in which they have gone in front; they are 13/2 (Boylesports) to lead at half time and full time.

Wigan v Fulham:

Latics top scorer for the past two seasons, Hugo Rodallega is yet to get off the mark this campaign; he is 13/2 (PaddyPower) to open the scoring here. Fulham are 6/4 (Coral) to notch their second league victory of the season. A sixth consecutive draw between these two at the DW is 23/10 (Ladbrokes).

West Brom v Liverpool:

The Baggies ended a run of 12 consecutive league defeats over Liverpool with a 2-1 win back in April; a repeat of that scoreline is 14/1 (Boylesports). Luis Suarez scored two second half goals against Stoke in midweek; he is 33/1 (Skybet) to go one better and grab a hat-trick on Saturday evening.

Tottenham v QPR:

Spurs have scored at least twice in each of their last six league matches; they are 10/3 (Bet365) to win by a two-goal margin. QPR won a London derby at long odds last time out against Chelsea; they are 8/1 (Coral) to make it a glorious double.

Stoke v Newcastle:

The Potters have only conceded one league goal at the Brittania this season; they are 11/5 (Bet365) to be the only team to score in this Monday night clash. Unbeaten Newcastle have only let in a total of two away from St James’s Park; they are 5/1 (Bet365) to be the only scorers.
