Norwich v Man City Tip

The Canaries have taken more points at Carrow Road than Man City have on their travels.

After winning five of their last six home league matches, including showdowns with Man Utd and Arsenal, Norwich City have to be backed at best odds of 11/2 (StanJames) against Man City.

The odds are simply too long when you consider than Roberto Mancini’s boys arrive off the back of three defeats in their last five across all competitions. The champions lost to a team lower down the table than Norwich on Boxing Day, and Sunderland could have easily extended the 1-0 lead that they ultimately held on to.

On the same afternoon the Canaries were seeing their fine run at Carrow Road ended by a resurgent Chelsea, but there’s no shame in that. At the present time, the London Blues are playing football on a higher dimension to the Manchester Blues.

The Citizens are averaging a whole goal a game fewer than they were in 2011-12 and Mancini can’t be overly confident. Joe Hart is suddenly making mistakes, Joleen Lescott is controversially out of favour while David Silva is nowhere near the heights of 12-15 months ago. If the Canaries score first then they could add another famous victory to their collection.
