Norwich City Odds 2012-13

Holting a Slide?

Life after Lambert is what the Norfolk club always dreaded. At least Holt has stayed but can he replicate last season's heroics?

Best Title Odds: 6000/1 (Coral)

The bookies have made the Canaries outsiders of last season’s three newcomers despite the fact they only finished behind Swansea on goal difference in 12th. Heavily financed QPR are the big favourites (4/7) after scraping into 17th last time.

Summary:

Paul Lambert dragged Norwich up from its lowest ebb in 2009 so where will they go without him? The appointment of Chris Hughton looks in the right mould and was universally popular with the fans. The policy of integrating top Championship players (Robert Snodgrass, Jacob Butterfield) into the fold looks wise.

Verdict:

City appear to have done all the right things since losing their boss but this season will be much tougher. The defence was already suspect so if Holt and Morison don’t continue where they left off a relegation battle is inevitable. If the wheels come off completely then finishing dead last at 6/1 (Ladbrokes) isn’t out of the question.
