Man City Remain Favourites Despite Loss
City top the table on goal difference from neighbours United but the bookmakers are still favouring Mancini’s men in the title race.
Goal difference separates the Manchester teams at the top of the Premier League, with little to pick between them, the bookmakers have sided with the blue half of the city. Roberto Mancini’s team are odds-on with every firm, William Hill going a best price 5/6 on them winning the title.
Sir Alex Ferguson and his team have experience of capturing the title but the bookmakers view them as second best at 6/4 with Betfred. Tottenham have cut the gap to five points and are seemingly back in the title race, a best price 14/1 (Betfred) having been 22/1 prior to the midweek fixtures.
