His fellow-countryman Sergio Aguero is favourite in this market (6/4 bodog) but if the former captain has really put his off-field issues behind him then he can score a truckload.
Summary:
The greatest moment in the club’s history came in May but it would be wrong to describe last season as faultless. There were two lacklustre European campaigns and an early exit from the FA Cup. They will want to show they can compete on multiple fronts, as the very best do. Perhaps surprisingly, Jack Rodwell’s arrival is the only significant piece of summer business to date.
Verdict:
It’s easy to feel now that it was written in the stars for Mancini’s boys in 2011-12. Extraordinary scorelines and that fairytale final chapter shouldn’t hide the fact that a repeat triumph will be tough. They are 7/4 (StanJames) to end this season without a major trophy - something they were 30 seconds from doing last time.
