Hull v Aston Villa Tip

Not many teams can boast a better recent away record than the Villains.

Hull City may have surprised everybody with their start to the season but I don’t see their run lasting through Saturday. The stats show that West Ham dominated the shot statistics last week at the KC Staduium as did Newcastle at St James’s Park in their clash before that.  Both those games ended as victories for the Tigers but success against the run of play can’t last forever.

Aston Villa have also won two games on the spin but they look like a team who are simply getting the results they deserved earlier in the campaign. Triumph over Manchester City was impressive and followed three points at Carrow Road. There was also a 3-1 win at Arsenal on the opening day.

In total Paul Lambert’s boys have taken an excellent 16 points from their last eight on their travels, including five victories from eight away league fixtures. When you consider that many of the top teams have been played, this really is an excellent return. At best odds of 5/2 (BetVictor) the chances of a Villa success here appear to have been under-estimated.
