The hosts are revived under their new boss and will be more keen on a Cup run.
Despite their excellent start to life back in the big time, there can be little doubt that Hull CIty’s priority remains prolonging their stay in the Premier League. The FA Cup is frankly a distraction that Steve Bruce could do without so I don’t expect the Tigers to last beyond a trip to the Riverside Stadium.
While the top flight team will ring the changes, Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka was vowed to take the competiton seriously. The Teessiders have improved since the former Real Madrid assistant arrived at the club on 13 November.
Boro have won three and drawn one of their last four games in the Championship and look well worth backing at best odds of 6/4 with Ladbrokes.
