FA Cup Final: Scoreline Tip

Wenger's nightmare trophy drought should be at an end by 7pm on Saturday night.

Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to talk down the pressure on his players this week but after nine years without a single major trophy he isn’t fooling anyone! However, I think this time the Gunners will handle the situation.

Hull have enjoyed a wonderful first season back in the Premier League. To stay up with relative ease, reach an FA Cup final for the first time and already qualify for Europe is beyond their wildest dreams. Tigers fans will be heading to Wembley in hope, but primarily to enjoy the day no matter what. For Arsenal fans, it’s all about claiming a victory and ending that wretched trophy drought.

The last seven FA Cup finals have all been settled by a solitary goal which tells you that these occasions are rarely one-sided. I think the first hour will be pretty tense but ultimately Wenger’s superior firepower should save the day on a big pitch. He has the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere, Podolski, Arteta and Ozil all fit and ready to support Giroud.

Steve Bruce will desperately miss the cup-tied Jelavic and Long with Matty Fryatt the only player in the squad with more than four goals this season.

In the end class should overcome nerves and I think the Londoners will punish the underdogs on the counter-attack. Arsenal 3-1 is a 13/1 shot with BetVictor and we get our money back with that firm if either side wins from behind.
