Hull Squad Has Strength In Depth
Steve Bruce can afford to rest players and still put out a strong XI against moderate League One opposition.
The FA Cup 4th round draw has supplied an underwhelming set of fixtures and when combined with the usual clichés it could make for a painful weekend. However, where entrenched biases exist we can make money and the Bury v Hull game is a prime candidate.
Hull sit top of the Championship and the narrative is likely to surround the fact the Tigers could do without the extra games hampering their promotion push.
What it fails to recognise is the strength in depth Steve Bruce can call upon. In the last round against Brighton, he started with Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone and Robert Snodgrass - all proven Premier League players.
If you look at the team sheet, six of the players who started the cup-tie against Brighton also started in the league against Fulham, including the entire back four.
Hull have won their last five in all competitions and look a fair bet to make it six at 19/20 (Betfred).
