CSKA Moscow v Man City Tip

The Russians are on horrid form and Pellegrini's men should win with a cushion.

Wednesday night offers Manchester City a perfect opportunity to improve on their wretched away record in the Champions League when they head to off-form CSKA Moscow.

Manuel Pellegrini is unhappy with the dreadful state of the Russians’ pitch, and the continued absence of Vincent Kompany will be another concern,  but in truth the English team of millionaires should triumph with something to spare regardless.

Moscow haven’t tasted victory in any of their last five domestic league matches and a 3-2 home success over Viktoria Plzen in Group D of this tournament is nothing to get excited about.

In contrast City have bounced back well from defeat to Bayern with successive 3-1 triumphs against Everton and West Ham. I think this will be another professional night’s work in difficult conditions; a win for the visitors by a 2-goal margin is a 4/1 shot with Boylesports.
