Chelsea Sense Opportunity
Arsenal’s defeat of Manchester United means the title race is still not over with three games to go.
Having ended February at odds of 25/1, Chelsea are now 7/2 to win the Premier League. A fortunate win over Tottenham, coupled with United’s defeat at the Emirates, means Chelsea are three points behind the league leaders.
As fate would have it, the top two face each other on Sunday at Old Trafford in what is being billed as the title decider. Carlo Ancelotti and his team are 11/5 to win the game, a result that would put them top of the league.
One defeat doesn’t mean panic for United but Sir Alex Ferguson is wary of the threat Chelsea pose. At 1/4 the bookmakers predict the title will still end up in Manchester, but at 11/2 the Red Devils could finish the season with no trophies.
