Chelsea Drift In Champions League Betting
Draws for Chelsea and Arsenal didn’t harm their chances of qualification but both drifted in the outright betting.
A difficult week for Chelsea didn’t get any easier as a missed penalty in Genk meant the Blues had to settle for a draw. Arsenal remain a 33/1 chance with Stan James after a 0-0 draw at home to Marseilles. With a four point gap back to third placed Borussia Dortmund, they are also 1/20 (Bet365) to qualify from their group.
Manchester City are 12/1 (Paddy Power) for Champions League glory despite facing a tricky away tie at Villarreal. The betting shows how domestic form has affected their price, with qualification to the knockout stages by no means a formality.
The eye-catching result of the night was Apoel Nicosia beating Porto. The Cypriot champions now top Group G and are 500/1 (Skybet) to go all the way having been 1,500/1 at the start of the tournament.
