Chelsea Restored as Cup Favourites

Chelsea are the 9/2 (Boylesports) favourites to win the FA Cup, with Liverpool and Man. United on the drift after being paired together.

Manchester United’s reward for beating rivals City is a trip to Anfield in the fourth round. They are 6/1 (Boylesports) to win the FA Cup having been 10/1 before the Manchester derby. They did touch 9/2 in the two hours between victory at Eastlands and the cup draw.

After overcoming Portsmouth, Chelsea find themselves the 9/2 (Paddy Power) favourites for the cup but face a potentially tricky tie away to MK Dons or QPR in the fourth round.

Overall the fourth round draw has not been kind to the Premier League teams. Only Sunderland are at home to lower league opposition, and they face a testing north east derby with Middlesbrough. At least five lower league teams are guaranteed to be in the fifth round draw raising the prospect of an unusual final. Could a team like Millwall benefit from a kind draw and repeat their 2004 cup heroics? They are 300/1 with Bet365 to do so.
