Champions Still Fighting

Inter Milan produced the Champions League result of the week, winning 3-2 in Munich to progress on away goals. They are joined by Man Utd, Chelsea and Real Madrid

Defending champions Inter Milan became only the second team to ever turnaround a first leg home defeat and still qualify in the knockout stages of the Champions League. An 88th minute winner from Pandev added to strikes from Eto’o and Sneijder to claim a famous victory.
Man United made more mundane work of dispatching Marseilles after a 2-1 win at Old Trafford. Chelsea played like a side who had won the tie in the first leg and so it proved after a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge; the Londoners triumphed 2-0 on aggregate over Copenhagen.
Real Madrid finally put their Lyon hoodoo to rest with a convincing 3-0 win at the Bernabeu to cruise into the last eight.
