Anfield Awaits Title Showdown

It's the match everybody is waiting for. Liverpool are gunning for a 10th victory on the bounce which would make them favourites for the league.

After nine consecutive league victories, I guess it’s to be expected that Liverpool are nothing longer than 7/5 (Boylesports) to win this title showdown when they enjoy home advantage. However, what is surprising is that the Reds can go as big as 3/1 (WilliamHill) to triumph in a game where both teams score - surely the most likely manner of victory.

For anybody doubting either team’s capacity to score, just consider the statistics. The Merseysiders have only been shut-out twice twice all season, once at Anfield, and that was back last September. Man City have found the net only six times fewer (83), from two fewer matches, and have Sergio Aguero back on Sunday.

1pt Both teams to score: Liverpool to win 3/1 with William Hill
