York Tips: Newfangled
Immensely impressive winner at Royal Ascot and can only get better.
Sometimes when you watch a horse run, they just seem vastly better than the opposition - we saw that with Frankel yesterday. Newfangled created that sort of impression when she bolted clear to win the Albany at Royal Ascot.

Unbeaten in two starts, we are only at the beginning of her career, but Newfangled looks the class act in the 2.30 York.
On ratings, only Baileys Jubilee has matched Newfangled’s Racing Post Rating of 105. Both achieved the mark on their last starts but whereas Baileys Jubilee seems to have reached her ceiling, it was her 8th start, Newfangled can still get better.
She has enjoyed a 62-day break since Royal Ascot and it would be reasonable to expect improvement on only her third start. A bit like Frankel she could benefit by settling in her races, having been headstrong at Ascot.
John Gosden has a hugely exciting prospect on his hands and this might be the last time you can back her at anything near evens.
