Yarmouth Tip: Levitate
Ran well in the Ayr Bronze Cup after interference at the start cost him ground.
I tipped Levitate for the Ayr Bronze Cup last month; eventually he finished seventh but showed enough promise for me to stick with him. At 12/1 with Betfred he rates an excellent bet in the 3.15 at Yarmouth.
Nothing went right for Levitate in Scotland. He was involved in a barging match as soon as the gates opened, costing him several lengths. He was then forced to race at the back of the pack, on a day when you needed to race prominently to win. He ended up having to navigate around a wall of horses, eventually finished third of the far side group.
Look back at his form and his winning debut for Alan McCabe was excellent. He won a class three sprint at Leicester in a fast time. Returned to better ground, heavy rain at Ayr made the going soft, he should start to repay some of his substantial price tag.
