Un-Gracious John

Un-Gracious John

Ignore his run on Finals' Day when everything went wrong. Before that, he looked a smart sprinter and has won on soft ground.

Gracious John has been one of the star sprinters of the all-weather season but unfortunately it all went wrong on Finals’ Day. He stumbled badly leaving the stalls, pulled very hard and then ran into traffic problems at the end of the race.

He might not be the most straight-forward of horses but I think we can draw a line through that performance.

Previous to that he’d been winning races in times that suggested he could develop into the Group sprinter David Evans hoped he’d become.

Last season he won on soft ground at Haydock and in France and seems equally comfortable over five or six furlongs. Forgive his last run and give him a second chance at 11/1 (William Hill)
