Spic’N’Span Can Clean Up

Eight-time course and distance winner, won on last visit to the track and one of the few horses in any sort of form.

The 2.20 Southwell is a weak looking race and with several in the field struggling for form, Spic’N’Span is the obvious choice.

He is an eight-time course and distance winner and in a low grade where he can dominate, he is generally a good bet.

Spic’N’Span has shown his old verve on his last two starts at Southwell, finishing a close 5th when badly drawn and then making all to win by two lengths at the end of March.

Graham Gibbons has a good draw in the centre of the track, which should allow him to attack right from the start.

Spic’N’Span is the most likely winner and a fair price at 7/2 (William Hill).
