Southwell Tips: Little Choosey
Finished second last time out despite getting involved in a pace-duel. Fellow pace setter finished 27.5 lengths further back.
Little Choosey has finished runner-up three times in nine starts at Southwell and this gutsy mare deserves to get her head in front.
Last time out she got involved in a pace duel with Spryt and they went an unsustainable early gallop. To her credit Little Choosey only faded in the final furlong and finished second by 2.25 lengths, meanwhile Spryt was 27.5 lengths further back in ninth.
Little Choosey’s finishing speed was 93.4% of her average race speed, much slower than par for the track. Despite this uneven distribution of pace, her time of 105.81s was still 0.44s faster than Playful Dude recorded in winning division 1 of the handicap only thirty minutes earlier.
Little Choosey and Playful Dude are pitched together in the 4.10 Souhtwell but on the clock, Little Choosey is favoured.
