Southwell Tips: Victorian Bounty

Victorian Bounty has plummeted down the weights in recent months but on his last start at Kempton he showed that he still retains a fair amount of ability. Duelling for the lead, all he succeeded in doing was setting the race up for the closers but reverting to Southwell’s more speed-favouring track he should go well in the 5.00.

The last time he raced over course and distance he won, despite being hassled for the lead. Having spent most of his career racing in class 4 contests, he has that extra bit quality and speed endurance that gives him the edge when dropped into class 5 company as he does today.

At 6/1 (Betfred) we are getting a good price on a horse with a 33% strike rate at this level.
