Southwell Tips: Sir Geoffrey
Unlucky to bump into a progressive filly last time out. This race looks easier and he is a past course and distance winner.
As he’s got older Sir Geoffrey has become more inconsistent but he’s got a good record on the fibresand and should go well in the 3.05 Southwell.
Three years ago Sir Geoffrey won a class 4 handicap over course and distance and although his form has dipped he’s is racing off a considerably lower mark.
Last time out he ran into the progressive Give Us A Belle but still finished 2.25 lengths clear of the third placed horse.
This afternoon’s line-up looks much more exposed and returning to one of his favourite venues he can win at 11/2 (Paddy Power).
