Southwell Tips: Rambo Will
Travelled well on his last start before getting outpaced in the last furlong. Step up in trip could therefore work in his favour.
Rambo Will races off his lowest ever mark in the 3.30 Southwell and there will be a point when he capitalises on the handicapper’s leniency.
Last time out, also racing off 60, he travelled well through the first three furlongs before the winner quickened away. Although he has won over 5f the trip looking a bit on the sharp side for him, therefore a step up to 6f looks a sensible ploy.
Never outside the top-4 in three starts at Southwell, the fibresand clearly suits him and the step up to 6f could be ideal; he has won twice over the distance at Kempton. At 9/2 (William Hill) he is overpriced in moderate company.
