Southwell Tips: Pick A Little
A prolific winner in his career to date and previously successful over course and distance.
With a 23% strike rate, trainer Brian Ellison is always a man to look out for at Southwell. In the 7.15 he runs Pick A Little who looks ideally suited to the track.
A resilient front-runner, Pick A Little has won 7/30 races in his career, an excellent strike rate for a moderate sprint handicapper. His only visit to Southwell was a winning one, and despite it coming in a claimer, he recorded a good time for the grade.
Seven furlongs seemed to stretch his stamina last time, but a return to sprinting should get him back into the winner’s enclosure. A tough, genuine horse, he is the ideal sort to be backing.
