Southwell Tips: Or Sing About
Track and ground will suit and should get an easy lead on this drop in class.
With only two jumps meetings on offer today there isn’t much to get excited about. Value is hard to find but the bookmakers have made a slight mistake in the 1.10 Southwell.
On paper this looks a two horse race between Kilvergan Boy and Or Sing About. Both are thoroughly exposed, so I am surprised to see such a disparity in their prices.
Or Sing About is at his best on a sharp track, with decent ground, conditions he’s got today. Having spent most of his career racing in class 4 company, he takes a drop in grade and that could make a difference for this front-runner. The lower class of horse should mean he gets an easier lead than he is accustomed to.
Two starts ago he put in a gutsy performance to finish second at Plumpton and if he recreates that run he should go close at 11/2 (William Hill).
