Southwell Tips: Love You Louis

Scuppered by the rain last time I tipped Love You Louis, there can’t be any excuses on the fibresand in the 6.00 Southwell.

For some strange reason soft turf doesn’t suit the horse but the deep fibresand poses no problem. On his last start at the track, he finished an excellent second behind Dancing Freddy, who has since shot up 19lbs in the handicap. He had Wreningham and Soopacal behind him that day, both line-up in opposition again but look unlikely to turn around the form.

Well drawn in stall 8, Love You Louis can race down the quickest part of the track and his front-running style is ideally suited to Southwell. He can make up for last week’s disappointment at generous odds of 15/2 (William Hill).
