Southwell Tips: Inde Country
Looks the third best horse in the race but much bigger in the betting. Strong place claims.
It might seem strange to have two selections in the 5.20 Southwell but both provide equal value. If the eight runners stand their ground we get 1/5 odds for a top-three finish.
Back in August 2011, Inde Country finished two short-heads behind Ladydolly and I cannot understand why she is almost four times the price today.
She is a moderate performer but at her best on Southwell’s fibresand, where she has finished fourth, three times. This is a very weak race, and although I cannot see her beating the favourite, I’d expect her to finish strongly and pick off the tiring horses.
At 14/1 with William Hill, if she finishes in the top three we have the equivalent of a 7/4 winner - exactly the same price as First In Command. We also have the chance that both bets win.
