Southwell Tips: Even Stevens
Practically unbeatable at Southwell and has clocked some exceptional times over course and distance.
Even Stevens confirmed himself a course specialist when winning just under a month ago, and he looks hard to beat in the 1.20 at Southwell
His record on the fibresand is a superb five wins from six races, clocking some seriously good times in the process. Last time out they didn’t see which way he went as he utilised his searing early pace to spread-eagle the field.
The only other pace in the race comes from stable mate, Six Wives, and I’d be shocked if there isn’t some sort of team orders to make sure the two horses don’t duel for the lead. At 3/1 (Paddy Power) Even Stevens can kick-start our New Year with a win.
