Southwell Racing Tips: El Dececy
Finished second behind a progressive rival last time out, recording a good speed figure in the process.
I’m surprised that El Dececy is not favourite for the 2.55 Southwell as he didn’t do a lot wrong last time out. After battling for the early lead, he saw off his rivals only to be caught at the finish by the progressive Global Village.
He recorded a strong speed rating in three processes, his third good finish in the last four races. His one flop came in first time eye-shields and the experiment was quickly discontinued.
A winner in 12 of his 75 races, he has an excellent strike rate for a handicapper. He is well drawn, likes the track and in good form. He should probably be a couple of points shorter than his quote of 7/1 with Paddy Power.
