Southwell Tips: Efisio Princess
Her front-running style is suited to the track, with three course and distance wins to her name.
Lindoro is going to be hard to beat in the 5.20 Southwell, but backing odds-on shots in class 6 races isn’t the soundest strategy. Horses are in this grade because of their inconsistencies.
At much bigger odds, Efisio Princess is the better bet. She’s not had a lot of racing in the last couple of years but she did shape with promise at Lingfield back in February. She showed plenty of early speed only to be headed in the last 75 yards.
Her front-running style is suited to Southwell, a course she has won at three times from ten starts. She also has winning form in a higher grade. At 10/1 (Bet365) she is worth a speculative bet to overturn the hot favourite.
