Southwell Tips: Bond Blade

Shaped as if he would improve for a step up in trip. His best performances have been on the fibresand at Southwell.

Bond Blade has always given the impression he would get further and looks a good bet in the 4.30 at Southwell.

His two best performances have come on the fibresand, despite being forced to race wide from a low draw, the worst part of the track. After becoming detached by the strong early pace, he showed great determination to work his way back into contention, running all the way to the line.

At six furlongs the early gallop shouldn’t be so demanding, allowing him to stay in touch for longer. On only his 8th start he is open to improvement and looks one of the more interesting contenders in a moderate contest.
