Southwell Tips: Amenable
Races off an 11lbs lower mark on the all-weather but handles the fibresand surface. Twice a course and distance winner.
In the 3.10 Southwell, Amenable gets to race off a mark 11lbs lower than if he was on turf and he can make the handicapper’s generosity pay.
The reason for the disparity is that Amenable was hopeless on the all-weather last winter but the surface was not the problem, he was just out of form.
A return to the fibresand should actually work in his favour because he has won twice over course and distance during his career.
Having regained his form, he ran up a hat-trick during the summer, he should take advantage of a generous mark and win at 7/2 (William Hill).
