Southwell Racing Tips: Havin’ A Good Time
Capable of running good speed figures off a slow early gallop suggests there is still some unlocked potential.
In the 2.20 Southwell I am sticking with Havin’ A Good Time. He was a wide margin winner last time out, quickening well off a slow pace. Considering the steady early gallop, he finished the race impressively to record a respectable time for the grade.
I’m not too concerned about the step up in grade; better horses forcing a stronger pace will just bring the best out of him. I imagine he will be targeted for Southwell’s valuable sprint handicap on New Year’s Day and I expect he’ll arrive there unbeaten.
