Sleep Blue wakes up Southwell

2-2 over course and distance; this improving handicapper has a third win in him.

The 2.20 at Southwell is one of the most competitive races of the day, with three last time out winners lining up. Amongst them Sleepy Blue Ocean has been doing his winning without showing his hand to the handicapper. The three wins this winter have seen him rise only 12lbs.

Speaking after his recent Southwell win his trainer expects more to come, “This is his trip and if we pick our races and take our time who knows how far he could go.” Source: Racingpost.com

Over course and distance Sleepy Blue Ocean is 2-2, the last win coming in a competitive handicap where he showed great determination to come through a tight gap. Still lightly raced on this surface there is enough improvement in him to win again.
