King Of Eden might be getting on in years but he’s still got ability judged on a handful of all-weather efforts late last year.
On 10 November he did extremely well to finish third after tracking an overly strong pace; the 97.8% finishing speed was bordering on a pace collapse.
The 3.55 Redcar will be his first start in 129 days but Eric Alston often has him ready for the early part of the turf season.
In six starts during April, King Of Eden has never finished outside the frame, winning four times.
Fortunately, the ground is also in his favour. He is 9/38 on going described as good or good to firm but 0/16 when soft appears in the description.
