Redcar Tips: Partner

Partner ran a clunker on his seasonal reappearance last month, but he may have needed the outing and can be given another chance in the 4.10 Redcar.

Last season he won on his second start of the season, winning a class 2 handicap off a mark of 86. This afternoon he attempts to repeat the feat off a 7lbs lower mark. Also in his favour are the return of the blinkers that he’s had on for all six of his career wins, but were strangely absent last month.

He is not the most straightforward of horses and can often find trouble in running but the wide straight at Redcar should help his jockey find gaps more easily, whilst the cut in the ground will slow the leaders down.

With several reasons why we can expect an improved performance he is worth a punt at 16/1 (William Hill).
