Prey On Kestrel Call
Simon Crisford has impressive 25% strike rate on the all-weather and Kestrel Call has been given a workable handicap mark.
Kestrel Call makes his handicap bow in the 2.40 Southwell and he looks well treated off a mark of 65.
Last time out he was held-up behind a steady pace and almost travelled too well, displaying greenness through the race.
The steady pace meant the leaders never came back to him but he was only beaten 2.75 lengths and wasn’t hard ridden up the inside rail, often the slowest part of the track.
The horses that finished around him were all rated 70 plus and given Simon Crisford’s excellent 25% strike-rate (12-48) on the all-weather we should expect further improvement.
