Leopardstown Tips: Kid Cassidy

Much improved since summer wind-op, beating Tingle Creek winner Sire De Grugy on his last start.

Sprinter Sacre is the star turn at Kempton this afternoon but the best race of the day, in terms of depth at least, is the 1.20 Leopardstown.

Arvika Ligeonniere is favourite for the Grade 1 contest but he will face a stiff challenge from some high quality 2m chasers. Sizing Europe must be in with a shout on the pick of his form but the best value in the race is Kid Cassidy.

The 7-year-old has really stepped up his form after a wind operation during the summer. He opened his campaign by beating subsequent Tingle Creek winner Sire De Grugy by 3.25 lengths and although he was in receipt of 10lbs it was still a top-class performance.

With a likely strong pace, AP McCoy should be able sit at the back of the pack before picking off the tiring leaders at the finish.
