Tarooq made great strides on the all-weather this winter but can he replicate his form on turf?
The 3.40 Yarmouth features a couple of excellent all-weather horses who struggle to replicate their form on turf. The market has built this into the price of Woolfall Sovereign but I’m surprised Tarooq is still second favourite.
He made great strides for Stuart Williams over the winter but this will be his first start on turf since pulling up in a claimer at Redcar last June.
Punters have latched on to the fact he has a turf mark of 90, which is 10lbs below his all-weather mark. However, Tarooq’s highest ever Racing Post Rating on turf is 78.
