Dungannon Attractively Weighted
Has a good course and distance record and has slipped to an attractive mark.
Dungannon struggled off a mark in the 100s for most of 2015 but at the start of a new year he finds himself with a chance off a mark of 89.
Last time out he was only beaten 2.25 lengths by the impressive Meadway (absent today) and that should have set him straight for today’s challenge.
Dungannon’s course and distance record is 23 and although he can sometimes get outpaced over the sharp 5f, the large field should ensure a frenetic gallop. If he is in touch with a furlong to go there won’t by anything finishing faster.
