Doncaster Tips: Quentin Collonges
Won twice at the track from three starts and has been waiting all winter for better ground.
It has been a long wait but there is finally some decent ground at a National Hunt meeting. The official going at Doncaster is ‘good’ and that should make a massive difference to Quentin Collonges in the 2.55.

Last time out he struggled in soft ground at Warwick but otherwise his trainer has kept him away from testing conditions all winter.
Around this time last year he put in a career best performance to win a 3m beginners’ chase at Doncaster on good ground. He earned a Racing Post Rating of 140, but races off only 125 this afternoon.
The small step up in trip shouldn’t be an issue either having won a 3m hurdle race, again at Doncaster, beating the stayer Galaxy Rock in the process. On a track he likes, with ideal ground conditions, he is overpriced at 12/1 with William Hill.
