Doncaster Tips: Prodigality
Ahead of the handicapper and the Going Stick suggests the ground won’t be too soft for him.
The 3.15 Doncaster is a decent sprint handicap with a couple of exciting prospects in the ranks. Khubala and Prodigality have made big strides this season, both look ahead of the handicapper, but which to go for?
Khubala edged their last meeting, scoring by a neck at Ffos Las on soft ground, but I think the form will be turned around. The ground was testing and favoured Khubala that day.
The official going report for Doncaster is Soft, Good to Soft in places, but I don’t think it will be as slow as that. The Going Stick reading is 7.3, which according to my archive is synonymous with good to soft ground.
Out of the two horses, Prodigality has the more potent turn of foot and it shouldn’t be blunted like it was at Ffos Las. His win last time out was mightily impressive; add his fine 6th place in the Portland and on the balance of form he is the best horse in the race at 9/2 with Bet365.
