Doncaster Racing Tips: Sirius Prospect
Has won half of his ten career starts, most of them from hopeless positions. This is a Group horse in the making.
The brilliantly named Sirius Prospect can live up to his billing in the 3.40 at Doncaster. Trainer Dean Ivory says he is the best horse he has ever trained; I think he could become the best sprinter in Europe. Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s see why he is going to win a listed sprint at Doncaster.
In his last two outings, Sirius Prospect has come from hopeless positions to win his races. At Ascot he got stuck in the stalls giving his rivals a four length head start but still managed to reel them in and win by a length. At York things were even worse, drawn in stall 19 he was forced to race away from the pace, at one stage he must have been at least six lengths behind the leading group. No matter - he won by two lengths.
If he manages to avoid any more dramas, he should run out a comfortable winner. At 11/2 with Ladbrokes he is a seriously good bet.
