Doncaster: Dimension

Ran a fast time in defeat at Goodwood. Lightly raced he looks a useful prospect

The 4.10 at Doncaster took a lot of studying and wherever I went I kept coming back to Dimension. Although he is untried at the distance, I don’t expect James Fanshawe is wasting his time. The horse already looks well handicapped off a mark of 90 and he needs to get some wins on the board rather than massage his mark any further.

Last time out he ran a cracker in a 0-105 handicap at Goodwood. Racing over seven furlongs, he showed plenty of pace to lie up with the front-runners; suggesting a drop in trip won’t inconvenience him. He clocked a time that day that in relative terms is a couple of lengths better than anything in this field. Lightly raced, he looks like a horse with a big future.
