Chief Protagonist

Indian Chief

Indian Chief keeps running well in adversity and the handicapper keeps cutting his mark. Races in class 4 company for the first time

Indian Chief has been on my radar for most of the summer and although bets went awry at Chester and York, he showed at Thirsk why he still warrants an interest.

Held-up behind a ludicrously slow gallop (116.8% finishing speed) he could never land a blow into a quickening pace. Despite finishing fourth he caught the eye they way he travelled through the race and he ran the fastest closing sectional.

The handicapper keeps giving him a chance and off a mark of 79 he should capitalise soon, especially with a first foray into class 4 company.
