Chepstow Tips: Dusty Blue
Ran poorly on the all-weather during the winter but tongue-tie back for first time since September and dangerously well handicapped.
Dusty Blue has been in wretched form of late, beating just 3 horses in six races on the all-weather. There is a chance she has completely lost the plot but on her best form she can win the 6.20 Chepstow.
You don’t have to go that far back to find encouragement. She won a class 5 handicap in Bath last August off a mark of 65, this evening she races off 55 in a 0-55 handicap.
More recently she showed a glimpse of form on the 5 February. She was slowly into stride but clocked the second fastest closing sectional (couldn’t match the impressive winner) and earned an adjusted speed rating of 57.
She is undoubtedly well handicapped and the tongue-tie is back on, having been absent all winter. If that makes the difference, she could win.
